Golf fans, rejoice! The PGA Tour is finally back this weekend at Colonial Country Club in the Charles Schwab Challenge. The tournament signals the restart of professional golf after nearly three months off, and the best players in the world are wasting no time getting back into the swing of things (literally). Sixteen of the top 20 golfers in the world will tee it up this weekend in the PGA Tour’s glorious return. With all that firepower comes a whole lot of money, too. Normally, the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial CC wouldn’t be one of the more popular tournaments on the PGA Tour, but this year is different. After almost three months away from the course, the best players in the world are eager to get back to work.
The field features 16 of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Rankings. With the exception of Tiger Woods, all of the biggest names in golf will be on display this weekend.
Rory McIlroy headlines the field as the world No. 1. It’s his first professional appearance at Colonial, but he’s still the betting favorite to win this weekend. Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, and Dustin Johnson round out the top five in the world, and all of them will be competing at Colonial.
Living legends Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, and Bernard Langer are also in the field.
Who are some of the richest golfers in the field this weekend?
Rory McIlroy might be the world No. 1, but he doesn’t hold the top spot in the field in terms of net worth. McIlroy owns a massive $150 net worth, which puts him second in the Charles Schwab Challenge field in that category.
Jordan Spieth is right behind McIlroy with a $100 million net worth. Despite being just 26 years old, Spieth has three major championships to his name and tens of millions in career earnings already.
Sergio Garcia might be a surprising name near the top of the list. Garcia has a $70 million net worth at 40 years of age. He finally won his first major a few years ago at the 2017 Masters.
Ian Poulter may be a lesser-known name in the field at Colonial, but his net worth speaks for itself. Poulter has a $60 million net worth despite not winning a major championship in his career.
Each of these players is more than happy with their bank accounts, but they all pale in comparison to the richest golfer in the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Mickelson has a massive net worth of $400 million, which makes him the second richest golfer of all time behind only Tiger Woods. In terms of the Charles Schwab Challenge, though, Mickelson towers over the field with his net worth.
