I’m excited to try this one! It’s my favorite thing about Papa John’s!

  • Deborah

I’ve tried to recreate this several times and always failed…who know that NOT using butter would be the key!!! I can’t wait to make some the next time I make homemade pizza!

  • Desiree

It’s true that the butter separates, but it tastes just as good and margarine is SO terrible for you.

  • Karen Call

Actually, the real Papa John’s dipping sauce is Vegan. It has no cow’s milk in it whatsoever: it’s soy-based. And it’s the best part about Papa John’s. So, this recipe is actually not doing any favors to your health, taste buds, or the environment.

    • Erin

The environment? Are you joking? How’s the view from that high horse if yours?

      • rafer

        Amen brother.

    • Anonymous

Don’t worry, eating the pizza makes up for the “healthy” garlic dipping sauce. Too funny.

      • B

Vegan doesn’t mean healthy, you could guzzle and pound of sugar (that wasn’t processed with bone char) and it’d be vegan.

        • P

Hi do you know if brown sugar is processed through bone char? thanks!

      • B

Margarine is rarely non dairy. It usually has milk proteins or powder, at the least.

    • Me

Most soy is GMO so its not doing any favors for your health either.

  • Samantha

    yummy thanks!

  • Maggie C

I was laying in bed last night, dying for Papa John’s. Then I realized I like the dipping sauce far more than the pizza. Now I can have that dipping sauce all the time. Thanks!

  • Autumn

Was good, but too garlicky for me. Will use less garlic next time, thanks!

  • Valerie Evans

I want the recipe for the cheese dipping sauce from Papa Johns!

  • sj

How is it that real Papa John’s garlic sauce doesn’t get solid in the refrigerator?

    • Janet

I wonder if they use mild olive oil?

  • kelly mcgrew

i remember when you used to be able to get this alongside your pizza at many pizza places! now i cannot find any that still make/sell this.. (i don’t have a papa johns near me) but i may try this myself! take that pizza shop! haha thanks for the recipe!

  • jennifer

    yumm! my favorite.

  • Jenn Westad

    This is my weakness……

  • Sarah Gillespie

NO MORE PAYING FOR GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE!!!!! Color me excited!

  • Patricia

  • Katherine

I love garlic sauce I can’t eat pizza without it!
