Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter Recipe
First served to me years ago when I was over at my friend Sherry’s house, having coffee, talking shop, and ignoring our children, as friends do…she passed me a banana muffin and a jar of this glorious cinnamon butter. It looked like frosting – so clearly I was already sold before even tasting it.
She’s a Texas native and very familiar with Texas Roadhouse, which is a legendary steak house that serves this butter with their dinner rolls. But she made the flavored butter at home, because it was way cheaper than eating out every night to get her fix! I nabbed the recipe from her and have been making it ever since. My kids always make sure we don’t run out.
Ingredients Needed
This cinnamon butter recipe is made with only 4 simple glorious ingredients! (Scroll below to the printable recipe card for details and measurements.)
Salted or Unsalted Butter: Salted or unsalted butter can be used. My recipe is written with salted butter. If you use unsalted, add in 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (not table salt) a little at a time. You might find that 1/4 teaspoon does the job.
Use softened butter: Before mixing, make sure your butter is softened to room temperature, not cold and hard as a rock, and not melted. Room temperature butter whips up nice and creamy!
Control the sweetness: We like our cinnamon butter on the sweeter side, but if you don’t, cut back on the powdered sugar.
What to serve with Cinnamon Butter
What not to serve it with is the question! HA. Cinnamon honey butter pairs wonderfully with pumpkin pancakes, homemade crepes, on a baked sweet potato, spread on morning glory muffins, and with a banana or toast. The list is practically endless!
Proper Storage
This can be stored on the counter if it will be eaten within a couple days, or in the refrigerator in an airtight container, up to 10 days, then allow to come to room temperature before serving. You can also freeze it up to 2 months (thaw overnight in the refrigerator, then set out to reach room temperature.)

Texas Roadhouse butter is no exception. The restaurant takes great pride in using only the finest, freshest ingredients. Their butter is made from real cream, ensuring a rich, creamy taste that melts in your mouth. This commitment to quality is a primary reason behind the butter's exceptional flavor.
Texas Roadhouse was founded upon providing fresh, quality food for a value, which is why we make our food from scratch, even the bacon bits, croutons and dressings.
We are known for our hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, made from scratch sides and fresh baked bread. All our steaks are great for grilling. It's up to your preference. Ribeye steak is the most flavorful steak we serve.

These rolls are sweeter than most other “standard” dinner roll recipes. That's because we're going full-on Texas Roadhouse style, and we're using honey as the sweetener. If you sub sugar for the honey, keep an eye on the flour amount – you'll likely need a bit less flour.
